I'm thinking of just taking everything off the wheel, cleaning it all and plugging it all back in but does anyone else have anything else to suggest while I'm there ? I've noticed I can get the parking brake sensor box for about £40 but not even sure where this is let alone if it'll do the trick.
Most likely it is the parking brake switch stuck or the wiring to it is damaged. If you move the switch by hand will it stop? Do you have a tool for testing electrical so we can do some tests?
Parking brake "engaged" light won't turn off I spent the last 3 days working on the interior of my 2013 SCrew XLT 4x4. I had the negative battery terminal disconnected the whole time, with the exception of reconnecting to move the electric driver's seat to get to all the bolts once to remove the seat and again to reinstall.
Engine running alarm stopped when park brake released. With engine off the alarm did not turn off when park brake released but, did stop when battery power cut and commenced again when power restored.
